Safeguard-CTT-TT-S21009(E) Toy Products Recall Notifications-2021 report 9

In order to protect consumer legitimaterights, the European Union, USA, Canada, Australia together with other countries in the world has established special notification systems to provide information of products which may cause risk to people health and safety.

A total of 81 notifications of children’s toys were declared in EU RAPEX are from Denmark, Cyprus, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Croatia, Poland, The Netherlands, Czechia, Belgium, Germany, Romania, Finland and France ; 5 notifications in Healthy Canadians official website;5 notifications in Australian product safety recalls official website;1 notifications in CPSC official website during the 37th and the 45th week of 2021.  Except the notification in Australian product safety recalls official website, in which the original country of toys are not mentioned, up to 76 notifications of children’s toys are from China among all those notifications. Toys were notified because of Contains or is prone to produce small parts, phthalate content exceeds the standard, The product is easily flammable and the flame propagation is too high and The migration of boron from the product is too high, etc.
