ECHA have authorized to use the DEHP

3 January 2014 , ECHA have authorizedthe application, from Rolls-Royce plc., on specific uses of Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)，granted the DEHP as a plasticiser during the diffusion bonding and manufacture of aero engine fan blades.

The DEHP have been listed on the REACH Authorisation List (Annex XIV), it can be used HP after the application for authorisation. So far, the 22 kinds of substance have been listed on the REACH Authorisation List (Annex XIV). Industry can apply for authorisation to use he REACH Authorisation List, if the applicant can demonstrate that the risk from the use of the substance is adequately controlled or that the socio-economic benefits of using the substance outweigh the risks and that there are no suitable alternatives available.
