Toxic jewelry, on one hand, is harmful to human health. For example, nickel may cause the skin rash, itching and other allergic reactions, lead may induce the mental development retardation and other symptoms, especially for children. On the other hand, toxic jewelry will pollute environment after discarded. In fact, the finished product may contain harmful substances from raw material, production, or processing such as electroplating, spraying, etc. These substances, including but not limited to heavy metals, plasticizers, dyes, have been used in the jewelry production widely.
