SOR/2016-168 Children's Jewelry Regulations’ (SOR/2016-168) has regulated that the total lead content should not exceed 600ppm and the soluble lead not exceed 90ppm for the jewelry intended for children up to 15 years old. From Health Canada, this limit will be stricter. In addition, "Products Containing Mercury Regulations" (SOR/2014-254) has been published and the proposed cadmium content in children's jewelry shall not exceed 130ppm.
