Recently, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) website once again listed 4,4'-methylenediphenol (Bisphenol F, BPF) as an intention substance of SVHC under REACH. Previously, on June 2025, 4,4'-methylenediphenol had already been listed as an intention substance of SVHC, but it was withdrawn in February 2026.

Reason for Proposal: Toxic for reproduction (Article 57c)
Use:It is mainly used to produce epoxy resin, polycarbonate resin and polyester resin, and can also be used to produce oil-soluble phenolic resin, flame retardant, antioxidant and surfactant.

• 1 item of pending substance (Resorcinol)
