EU TSD New requirements on Nickel , BPA and three flame retardants

EU toy safety commission approved to amend Annex II of 2009/48/EC Toy Safety Directive (TSD) recently.

The changes are in two parts:

1. Add another Nickel Permitted use on Appendix A;

2. Add migration limits for TCEP, TCPP, TDCP and BPA to Appendix C.

Appendix A

List of CMR substances and their permitted uses in accordance with points 4, 5 and 6 of Part III

The Directive after amended shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that

of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
